Assembly in Nuremberg. SUSE’s headquarters were the venue chosen for this last meeting, where the ten partners met to discuss and define the final phase of the project together.
A Meeting of Focus and Progress
The assembly was highly effective, allowing everyone to systematically address key challenges and refine the approach for the project’s remaining months. Discussions spanned technical, operational, and strategic aspects, ensuring alignment across all partners. Despite the complexity of the topics, the team’s dedication kept momentum strong—except for one unexpected interruption.
A Humorous Detour: Germany’s Nationwide Warning Day
Half way during the meeting, Germany’s annual nationwide warning day kicked in, testing the country’s emergency alert systems. The broadcast cell method triggered multiple rounds of loud smartphone alarms, filling the room with a mix of surprise and laughter. While the alerts momentarily disrupted our flow, they also served as a lighthearted reminder of the importance of preparedness—both in crisis management and project execution.

Charting the Path Forward
Undeterred, we used the remaining time to develop a robust plan for the project’s final stretch. Key priorities included:
- Finalizing deliverables with clear timelines and responsibilities.
- Addressing open technical challenges through collaborative troubleshooting.
- Ensuring seamless knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
The assembly reinforced our collective commitment to meeting the project’s goals before its conclusion, and the progress made in Nuremberg leaves us well-positioned for success. Stay tuned for the final deliverables of the project, including the latest release of the COGNIT framework!
